How does the question on the ballot look?

I hope the turn out to the polls is large. The world will watch. This is how an independence country is born, (or not) is done in a peaceful democratic way.

In America in some places, especially lately, whoever creates the ballots has control of the vote. So the questions were so iffy - you didn't know whether a yes vote meant yes or a yes to know change, or a no.

Does the Scottish voter get to see the ballot question a head of time? Is there only going to be one question on it? or do they vote for people to represent them?

Warmongers and fear mongers go hand in hand and all of it spewed out in our so called mainstream news - entertainment services. The USA has no business in going near the middle east except as an invited member of the United Nations and on humanitarian food and medical supplies drops.

If we really want to stop home grown terror, then we need our men and women at home, making America a better place. We messed up enough over there. Let the people who live there, work to find a peaceful solution - not our interpretation of it.

We in our secular modern world and thinking do not understand a religious world - look to the history of the United Kingdom when men went to war for religious beliefs.... it lasted for many, many 100 of years... until the country chooses a form of laws and rules, customs and culture which did not kill off its members - and even into this century there are parts that have members who do not want to belong......

Sorry Brenda, that you live so far away. I invited a lovely lady from Germany last year, for a three day guided tour of Miami before she left on a cruise. Now this year she is back to stay for a while. Maybe she will meet a nice American man while visiting. I like playing host here.

Although I would love to get back to Scotland on vacation.

Why is it so easy to find and met women and make friends than find a lovely Scottish man for romance and more?

The incredible amount of money in professional televised sport. Contracts for millions. The image that is built around a team, product endorsements, the groupies, the fans.....


add to it, the attitudes about what some professional sports players think they are entitled to - they go to the professional level and get a lot of perks - they are allowed to slide on some of their responsibilities to be good men, because all that is required is that they are good players.....

He gets it all the time in the sport that he plays..... only he gets to wear a helmut.

I think the sport teaches him to his behavior.

When I was training my dog, a Rottweiller, a dog that is powerful and has strong jaws and a protective instinct I would not to hit him to stop bad behavior.

Because by hitting him, teaches him that those in power can solve problems by violence - and a dog learns that he then can solve his problems with violence.

If a simple creature like a dog can learn about the use of force, imagine what a human can learn.

When you look at the video - after he knocks her out - a big, strong man, twice her size and strength, - he doesn't bend down and check to see if she is alright or realize that what he has done is wrong...... no ..... it with indifference and cold heartedness, kicks at her with his foot like she is a thing or a carpet.....


He clearly demonstrated thanks to the new world of technology how much he dislikes her, how much he has no respect for her, no empathy, no compassion....

It appears as if this is not the first time this has happened and it appears as though he was heading into the elevator thinking there would be no cameras there, private and not observed.

Why we glorify these sports players as heros or folks to look up to, I have yet to figure out?

It is soooooo exciting! It is coming soon September 18th! Which ever way it goes, it will be decided by vote by the people of Scotland and the people of Scotland alone!

I am sure the women on the site are much more watchful too. What kind of events, activities and dates did you have planned when you do connect on the other sites?

I find it interesting, that we humans always ask..... is it me?

Perhaps it is just because now, you are taking the next step. It is not just "distances" now it can be real. I am sure the woman feels the same way, worried about it going from just chatting on the internet to meeting in person.

It is a big leap.

I know a few true stories, where couples, very old couples, when one dies the other follows in a few days to weeks later. They are said to have died from a broken heart.

face it - we humans haven't gotten a cure for the common cure what makes you think we are clever enough or diabolical enough to research and develop secret biological warfare program only since the early 70s.

The Black Death was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 75 to 200 million people and peaking in Europe in the years 1346–53. Although there were several competing theories as to the etiology of the Black Death, analysis of DNA from victims in northern and southern Europe published in 2010 and 2011 indicates that the pathogen responsible was the Yersinia pestis bacterium, probably causing several forms of plague.

The Black Death is thought to have originated in the arid plains of central Asia, where it then travelled along the Silk Road, reaching the Crimea by 1343.

From there, it was most likely carried by Oriental rat fleas living on the black rats that were regular passengers on merchant ships. Spreading throughout the Mediterranean and Europe, the Black Death is estimated to have killed 30–60% of Europe's total population.

All in all, the plague reduced the world population from an estimated 450 million down to 350–375 million in the 14th century.
