I am sick and tired of those that keep harping on religion in connection with their civic and social and governmental duties.

I am completely in support of the separation of church and state as in the underlying premise of America.

It does not matter who "discovered" america because whoever they were, they are not the ones we now celebrate with the settlement of it, the governance of it, nor the philosophy of it.

the TED talks (can't remember who specifically gave a talk there) discuss the same 24 hours we are each given - the most successful of us in life, use those hours differently.

For example, someone who learns how to make money (passive income), while they sleep. This gives them more resources for when they are awake.

Of course not, just a mother's day card and present, and "she did it for the love of her family"...... If her time was actually computed into pounds or dollars and the "gifts" and love tallied up it would be...... certainly not what she is worth now is it?

This is a good thing.

I also see from your one statement that your grandmother never worked..... as in outside the home, for money. She certainly worked, and worked hard because to keep a home, raise children, spoil grandchildren takes a lot of sacrifice and hard, hard, uncompensated work. Just think of the price of paying for a nanny, nurse, housecleaner, car driver, a planner and organizer for family dinners, outings, birthday celebrations. A laundress, seamstress, educator, etc, etc, etc.

If it was the father who wished to do this, intensive hanging around.... why not? Who is to say this wouldn't produce a more successful child?

Of course if it is breastfeeding involved, it just makes logistical sense to say the mother.

Now on the whole labor, wage laws and rules thingie.... America is the worst for this, no labor laws that support families - not in family leave nor in paid leave to take care of or have a family. They are just getting to the minimum wage debate now.... I'm certainly not holding my breath.

very informative - only jews are not a country, so if you are going to break down into categories, let's keep it clean for my OCED brain to deal with.

Muslims are under the religion not person or country, jews are under the religion not persons or country category.

Mafia is an Italian, Sicilian term - the generally coined Russian mafia can be broken down into many categories, although I thought it was used to describe organized crime in other countries that originated from areas in Russia..... they are just criminal thugs in my book and don't deserve to be elevated into any status.

and the myth about genetics -really, from you? Success is a learned trait and has nothing to do with genetics. Of course this could digress into a long debate about nature versus nurture and the definition of success.
