I don't know.... and of course, where is this muslim country anyway? I have a map of countries and countries names and I don't believe there is a name of a county of muslim.....
I had forgotten how wonderful it is to be a woman here in America - where I am considered equal to a man in the eyes of the law, in democratic voting, in work (almost) and in love.....
Currently, in America, 53% of women over 18 are in the singles column. Women now have the choices to all them to customize the paths of their lives and some of them find that it is best for them to put marriage aside.
So what does that have to do with dating? Most women look at the dating situation with a end game in mind. To find that someone special to have in a home.
..... so I don't think there is going to be an end to it, just more choices in what it looks like.
There is a classic social psychology theory, called the "exchange theory".
It predicts that a person's actions will be based on trying to find a balance of give and get. Each person's resources including money, looks, background are traded back and forth for a good deal.
A good deal for a woman could be makes an excellent living pairing up with a man who is a writer and is willing to work at home and be the primary child care person.
Historically, when a women's life choices are highly constrained they have little negotiating power. They had to marry or seen as damaged. A few got away with being free spirits but usually because of their wealth or lineage.
It's different now. I read that most women still want marriage but they don't want it at just any price. Most of us still want the house to build for our love, our lover and our children.
I also had a story about the brother to the Secretary of the State who shall remain nameless....
He is a lawyer, defending his client in a case of young thugs who ripped of the coin meters, broke them open and took many pounds of silver.
The police catch one of the guys as he jumped over a 6 foot fence to evade capture. So H, the lawyer is going to prove that it wasn't his client by filling his pockets in a demonstration and weighing the pants down prove that his client could not have jumped the fence with all those coins in his pocket and loose baggy pants were the fashion.....
So H fills his pockets and he jumps up and down to demonstrate how difficult it is run let alone jump a tall fence and in the middle his pants fall down in front of the jury.....
I AM WOMAN!
