It does seem to work, when we see the spirit of Christmas in our children's eyes or grandchildren, or great grandchildren..... or at the rate we are living longer lives, our great-great grandchildren.... of course we won't remember who they are, or who we are for that matter.
Here's to the old-timers disease, conscious forgetting.
Memories of past Christmas celebrations with the family are very nice thoughts.
Since my father was in the Canadian military, it was usually spent with family in different countries, every three years......until he retired and we were back in Canada. Then of course, when I moved to the tropical state in America, it was odd to see all the trappings of Christmas without the snow and cold.
Even today, I'm off to work and the temperature will be in the 80s. In my neighborhood the children will play with all their toys on Christmas day tomorrow and there is nothing more beautiful or music to my ears than hearing the sounds of children laughing.
I know what you mean about not wanting kids. However, I think the word is over-populating the world because to re-populate is to suggest that we are not right now populated. And boy-oh-boy we both can agree there are too many folks on this limited resource planet as it is.
Here is a security patrol to keep you safe and secure. They get really excited about "other duties as assigned" too. ---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----
I know what you mean..... I actually don't have any that truly claim me right now.... and I can't understand it, I am a single lady over the age of 40!
RE: how much is it worth?
Errr rather it is worth risking my heart!
