Chris - I am in support of your response - except in Canada, the RCMP, law and Canadian type government police arrived first set up the forts and then the settlers followed.
In USA the settlers went first and the law followed after.
And as I read this thread, what has Canada got to do with GAZA again? oh, yeah on forms of government and structure.
stop. What peaceful solutions are you offering? You can't behave in your own country in finding peaceful solutions.
Also, no matter what our opinions, American, Irish, South African, it does not matter because this is not our business. We only care because we need a world that can get along together not a world that is looking for a fight.
Ladies, have you ever been upset with your husband and could not wait to tell him how you felt? Men, do you feel your wife react over things you considered....
It is an interesting philosophy, although not one I subscribe for myself.
I think you can feel for someone that does not return the affection, and I don't have any expectations about anyone else. I try to take folks as they appear. I don't expect them to be or do anything, that way I am always surprised.
We can never figure out what is in the hearts of another, we can only look at their behavior and treatment of us. So if they treat you with respect and enjoy your company, then it is good, I think.
If they don't treat you with respect, why would you want to be in their company?
The note on the counter - while the optimist and the pessimist were arguing about the glass being half empty or half full, I drank it - signed the opportunist.
It might be interesting to look at the historical emergence of some countries.
Canada formed in a different way than did the United States. and from what I have been reading that Americans fighters and militia were vastly underfunding, and outgunned by the British. Washington lost many battles at the beginning.
So what is the birth of Canada, one hundred years later, with all the British loyalists heading north - the battle on the plains of Abraham in 1812 ..... then what?
The largest military does not necessarily win countries.
I am sure they talk behind closed doors - and talk is cheap.
It is through policy and political action that things happen - a President has certain powers but he has to work together will all of the powers, and he has a certain amount of baggage that comes with job.
There must be responsibility on both sides - and yes Isreal must take action for its part in this crisis.
Neither side has clean hands - and neither side is justified in the attacks on each - it is very difficult to come to the table and learn to live side by side.
It kinda makes sense to me now, I see historically, in a region where the major religions were created, grown that this area is a fertile land for new, old and different spiritual beliefs - beliefs that are in opposition to each other and strong in the philosophy that one is right and all others wrong.
So when, when are these fractions going to realize that embracing "humanity" is the only religion in this modern age that is not designed to hurt each other?
Perhaps no one should be in the GAZA strip and no one should be allowed to have any religious expression at all in that area? Would that stop the fighting?
Eminent Domain The power to take private property for public use by a state, municipality, or private person or corporation authorized to exercise functions of public character, following the payment of just compensation to the owner of that property.
Federal, state, and local governments may take private property through their power of eminent domain or may regulate it by exercising their Police Power. The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution requires the government to provide just compensation to the owner of the private property to be taken. A variety of property rights are subject to eminent domain, such as air, water, and land rights. The government takes private property through condemnation proceedings. Throughout these proceedings, the property owner has the right of due process.
Eminent domain is a challenging area for the courts, which have struggled with the question of whether the regulation of property, rather than its acquisition, is a taking requiring just compensation. In addition, private property owners have begun to initiate actions against the government in a kind of proceeding called inverse condemnation.
I don't know Nick, you might be right. I thought that love was a selfless act, an unconditional act, so perfection is not really wanted or needed, because it is the imperfections that are embraced and loved.
However, when we have no one in our life to connect with in an emotional way, I think men and women have watched others and decide that they are going to develop the outward appearance of having a perfect partner. So they find someone that meets their ideal version and go through the motions to date, settle down and do stuff together.
And I have read that there are actually people that are incapable from feeling love at all.
I don't think you are one of them? But I don't know you.
sadly there are so many women that I know of personally that still love deeply even though their spouse, boyfriend, significant other treats them so disrespectfully.
go figure?
We really can only guess if someone loves us. We can only feel what we feel. It might be better to look to people's behavior, when they say they love someone. Words are very empty of there is no gesture to back them up.
RE: Savoury characteristics in people, which one is your favourite?
Would it count if she combined these things into a look of woman who dresses as if she came out of the sewer? no?
