I admit I am a traditional man. It's so easy: only a women who cooks well is able to capture my heart. A women who can't cook well is like a goulash without paprika.

some women would say a way to a mans heart is the knife through the rib cage
QueenUtopia: hello No wonder its so tricky to get to a mans heart, dont want to crawl throgh his stomach, so better give it up
no, my lady, man are just so simple, they are not tricky at all. it's just so easy for you: become a good cook and you will have to chose between countless of man. my mother told me: boy, if you have the choice between a smart women and a women who cooks well, chose the cooker because you will be jolly fed up by the smart one. Wise words from a wise women!
treating a woman....like men should do....(eg)...careing/being thoughtful/....true....brings out all the qualaties...men seek in a woman.......you harvest what you sow.jmo.
Bauksi: sorry to say that, knenagh, then you cooked something nice but it was not good enough ;(
You got that one wrong Bauksi, I don't think any of the guys I was with were that superficial that they would stay with anyone because of their cooking skills.
It was appreciated and they liked it, but it's not that they would have broken it off with me if I couldn't cook.

No, never, dear michael, not as far as cooking is concerned. A man who cooks is a weakling(except he does it as a profession) whereas a woman who cooks is an angel. Women don't like weaklings.
Growing up I don't remember my parents ever using the term "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach". I'm sure if my parents were alive today they would say that that statement is a bunch of nonsense.
I believe that some idiot made it up cause they figured it was the only way.
Some men today would probably say if that's all a woman can do that they would pass.

I've no real comparison. I never had to ask any of my ex's to cook or learn to cook they've just wanted to and probably known that this would be a good idea. Must be women's intuition.
One of me ex's turned into a vegan and that played a part in ending the relationship. She'd still fry me a steak for dinner whilst she had couscous(a.k.a tasteless misery sand)or whatever, but after a while I realised that life's too short.

I don't cook so he will have to cook for himself and that DOES NOT make him a weakling. I will not cook for him even tho I know how to cook. I am a vegan, I eat fresh fruits, raw vegetables, raw nuts most of the the time. I am happy not being an angel in your boooks!

Oh give it a break. I have 2 older brothers who have cooked since they were young and still do to this day.Cooking hasn't made them weaklings.

dear angry lady, never mind, but believe me your boyfriend (husband, i don't know) would be very very happy if his girlfriend would stuff his stomach with a marvelous meal.
As important as it is that the sandwiches get made, and that she is the one to make those sandwiches, it is equally important that he treats as if she's there to make his sandwiches.
But does he really see her as nothing but a sandwich maker? Or is he joking? And if he is joking is there not a little truth in every joke? His motives are a mystery - how exciting!

I am NOT ANGRY. My BF is very happy with me now and I don't cook for him. He will leave me if I bring cooking into the equation. He can cook his own meals and does not want me to do it. he wants me to be relaxed and spend quality time with him and not to be tired from cooking for him. not having cooked food from me is the least if his problems
