an event such as brexit was inevitable for the eu, its a major pressure release event for the whole region, possibly even for the globe. i just hope our governments take note and this forces change within the whole region or i do think the eu is doomed. time will tell i guess
its not that great, our serious problems are growing fast and we re doing very little to deal with them, our housing situation is one of the most serious problems to have ever faced this state. its disturbing to see how bad we and our politicians are dealing with this.
yes we all know north korea is more than likely a dreadful country to live in and treats its people terribly but our true leaders are possibly worse. you have to realise our politicians are not the true controllers of power in our lands.
im am not a materialistic person but i realise our societies are in a very precarious place right now. yanis varoufakis believes a collapse right now could lead to a massive shift to the far right as happened after the 29 crash, which we all know eventually lead to ww2! i think hes probably right. keep a very close eye on the aftermath of brexit, this is a potential of what could happen, and probably worse, if the eu collapses. reform is a better option but its hard to know if thats possible, some believe its not but i think we have to try. a shift to the far right terrifies me.
its a hell of a lot more complicated than that. the eu system isnt democratic at all, some call it a kleptocracy, and id have to agree with them. if the eu collapses now, we ll all be screwed for many years maybe decades. it must be reformed but that aint gonna be easy. i wouldnt worry too much about north korea, im more worried about our kleptocratic overlords! north korea will probably be eventually a part of our dreadful economic and finical markets as soon as it suits our leaders, probably by force to, as they usually do!
it looks like scotland want to stay in the eu, and possibly a large portion of the north as well. this eu is a total disaster. i suspect we ll be back on the battlefields eventually to sort this one out!
ah the type of nuclear mentioned last night is fusion, apparently much cleaner and safer than fission. we havent built a commercially successful fusion reactor yet. i think we are gonna have to look at this for our energy needs as im not convinced renewable sources will be enough. apparently theres a couple of hundred years of coal left on the planet so theres probably enough for your needs but we have to move away from fossil fuels asap. its not right on future generations.
all the oils nearly done, we re coming to end of the era of cheap energy im afraid, this is another major problem facing us. i beleive major oil fields have not been discovered since the 60's/70's, so we re really coming to the end of it. i was only at a talk last night where nuclear energy was mentioned regarding a possibility of our future energy needs. it looks like we will have to cut back on meat to as its becoming too expensive to process.
yea this is a tough one for england. the divorce wont be easy and the eu probably wont make it easy in their ignorance.
it may have been good at one stage but this has dramatically changed since the bailout. it has come clear to me that the eu is just a massive neoliberal movement that is just a huge wealth extraction process of the whole euro zone particularly with 'weaker' economic countries such as ireland. the imf have been stripping wealth from countries for decades, leaving their economies in pieces pretty much forever more. its main tools for the wealth extraction process are taxation and debt. its a very efficient system and works extremely effectively. i cant see ireland ever returning to the 1960's doom and gloom but i can envisage it happening if the eu does not reform or collapses. reform is probably the better option but this may not happen. a collapse would probably be catastrophic.
