The cat...

Throw a stick, and the servile dog runs and pants and stumbles to bring it to you. Do the same before a cat, and he will eye you with a cool, polite and somewhat bored amusement. cats meow

I respect the superior animal which lives its own life and knows that the stick-throwings of human bipeds are none of its business and beneath its notice.

The cat charms you into playing for its benefit when it wishes to be amused; making you rush about the room with a feather on a string when it feels like exercise, but refusing all your attempts to make it play when it is not in the mood.

That is personality and individuality and self-respect !!!

The calm mastery of a creature whose life is its own and not yours !

Struggles within...

I sit and ponder… think too much, but never think out loud. Swirling thoughts and emotions surging through my being as I refuse my self a morsel to eat,
I hunger… I always have, but now to feed my soul.
Trying to re-connect with myself, my body trembling my feet so cold, I am frowning because never have I felt so desperately alone. My tormented soul recaptures memories; of joy but also pain, I’ve tried on this journey of life to never make the same mistakes over again.
I have loved and lost so many times and I’m weary of wanting any more, fearful heart…If only I could beat myself and ease my sense of guilt, imperfect is what I am… I admit, I f*&ked up AGAIN!
But I allowed my heart the freedom to love another, one more time, I didn’t plan it this way.
I tried to keep all my promises, but I just could not make-believe that I never needed any more than this. I long for some comfort but no happy thought will come, I toss and turn at night, then send out love and hope that I can fall asleep this time.
I wish I could feel the love or believe that I am even worthy…I awake each day to face more hours of agony as I struggle through this time…
No peace will come, I feel too small, painfully aware and trying not to loathe myself…Life wasn’t always this hard?
But every time I try to pick it up, just like sea sand, it runs away through my clutching hand.
I thought I was getting closer, But I threw it all away. Yes, I throw it all away…like throwing faces at the stars… like throwing arms around yesterday.

Twin-souls

"He knows every button and pushes them constantly. I’m going crazy!
Ah yes, welcome to what is known as the mirror effect. Knowing your twin flame is like standing in front of a mirror 24/7. Everything about you, the fantastic and the TERRIBLE, is reflected back in your twin. If a button is being pushed, your first inclination needs to be to look inside yourself, because the annoyance is most likely something you need to work on. If it wasn’t, it would not be bothering you."

Is there anyone that has had the experience of meeting their twin- soul?
I have read up about it and believe that I met mine last year.

Any information or real life experience regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Feel free to mail me regarding this topic if your information is too sensitive or personal to post here.

Go outside and play...

Nature is wonderful and we should take time to enjoy it. Weekend getaways, even if your destinations remain close to home can be fun and exiting to plan. Why not plan a camping weekend, go fishing, boating, horse-riding or hiking through the woods? Even having suggested going away, remember that there is no need to be away from home to enjoy nature, don’t let yourself be shut indoors all the time.

We spend a lot of time preparing food in our kitchens, which we then eat indoors, in front of the TV or at the dinner table. Some evenings, instead of getting stuck in the kitchen, make a fire and have a barbeque. Put on a little insect repellent to ward of the mosquitoes, find a comfortable seat where you can watch the fire, have a few drinks and look up at the moon and the stars.

In the daytime sit in a tranquil place outside, find a big beautiful tree to sit under. Prepare a table in the garden and enjoy breakfast outdoors every morning, make this your morning ritual to greet the day .To make this experience more pleasant try placing a bird feeder in your garden along with a fresh supply of water to attract the birds. If you live somewhere where this is not possible, then take some old bread or seed and feed the birds at the local park, lake or dam. Go for a walk, have a picnic in the park and take the family dog along if you can.

Create your own garden, get outside to water and nurture your plants regularly, enjoy planting your own vegetables and herbs. The aroma of freshly tilled earth can be invigorating, use those green fingers and get muddy hands once in a while. Apart from giving you much pleasure, those beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers will be much loved by the birds, bees and butterflies.

Appreciate the weather, rain or sunshine. Go outside and walk in the rain, feel the raindrops fall on your face. If you are fortunate to live in a country where you get snow, go outside and build a snowman and eat snowflakes. Lie on your back and look for pictures in the clouds. Feel the wind blow through your hair. Bask in the sun.

Go for a swim in a cool lake or in a swimming pool even if the water is a bit cold. Walk barefoot to feel the grass beneath your feet, connect with the earth and don’t be afraid to get a little dirty, allow the mud to squish between your toes. I am sure you have already thought of other ideas and activities that you might enjoy outdoors, that I haven’t already mentioned. Some of the best things in life are free, allow yourself some time to get outside and enjoy nature.

Daddy's home....

"Anyone can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a daddy."
- Anonymous

A good father makes a difference in a child's life. He's a pillar of strength, support and discipline. He works very hard to make the life of his children happy. Although his hard work is often times thankless. It will show in the well adjusted children that he has raised one day...
On Father's Day, much of the world will take the time to appreciate the work of good fathers.
While I would like to show some admiration for my own Dad, who is also a good Grand-Father for my two children tip hat

Happy Father's day to all the Fathers and Grand-Fathers... you make the world a better place wine gift

Faithfull departed...

I saw your face as you lay there... Swollen yet still familiar to me, your eyes closed, black and bruised... They encouraged me to say goodbye to an empty shell... And pray that your soul won't go to hell...until we meet again my boy, I will never forget you RIP Dylon x

Missing broom...

There is a lonely girl with blue green eyes and long blonde hair...
Playful and fancy free, her family & friends her only care
She laughs often but cries sometimes too
Because heartache is plentiful and true love is so few
So she looks for a man to sweep her off her feet
Counting down the hours until the two shall meet
she sits waiting, hoping that he comes soon
all he needs to carry is a capable little broom
sigh

People are strange when....

you're a stranger and faces look lovely when you're alone!
Some of the wonderful people I have met down at the pub...

*Berent...He was an accountant, but lost his job... he still has all his hair but seems to be losing his teeth and is so friendly, hugs me everytime he sees me, like a big old cuddly teddy bear BUT account for the fact that he consumes more beer a day than water I could drink in one week, walks everywhere and has no job, oh! somehow he seems to have managed to keep a long distance relationship going... baffling, hehehe!

*John...He is a chef, a greying gentleman... he has amazing patience and wonderful listening skills, he is soft spoken, always tired. His hands are soft to suit the job, I bet the women would never guess that he is very well endowed... such a dedicated family man that I'm sure would probably never leave his wife, although he sometimes jokes about killing her moping

*Max...He is a plumber, with probably a bit too much testosterone, hahaha! looks like one of those tough guys in the movies, probably in a viking role or something (with the hat with horns in armour and stuff)... big, tall muscular guy with long golden hair plus the dazzling smile, he sometimes rides on one of his 15 horses to get down to the pub ... I've been invited to meet his wonderful wife this coming weekend grin

*Names have been changed to protect these real life characters cheers
