Obedience

John 14:23-24
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

The desire to live their own life, as they see fit, keeps most professing Christians from ever being in Christ.

Until we come to the point and realization that we control nothing and that we are nothing without Christ we are hopelessly lost.

Grace be with who?

Grace be with who?

Ephesians 6:24
Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.

Oh Grace is with those who love the Lord, So who loves the Lord?

John 14:21
He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

Who loves Christ and who does not love Him?

John 14:23-24
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.It's as simple as that!!!!

2 Peter 1:19-21
So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Thank God for His Word!

The devils fight against the word of God is increasing because he knows we are told to test everything according to the Word of God so we are not deceived. We know that the devil want's us to be deceived so we will not be saved. Be careful when men start to say that the scriptures are not the Word of God...

Hebrews 4:12
For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

God will not be mocked

Some of us want to get salvation as a fire escape. We want to go to Heaven, but as long as we are in this life we want to continue living in sin. We want to be saved but we want to still live as we please. Partying, fornicating, drunkenness, envy, adultery, hatred, foul conversation, revelling, lieing to name a few. There is only one thing wrong with that thinking and that is, it will not work that way. If a person comes with that in their mind, "that I’m going to receive Christ to be saved, so that I can go to Heaven but I’m still going to go out and live as I please", that is not repentance. Without repentance and obedience we cannot be saved. So if anyone comes to Christ with that in their mind, we are not going to get saved to begin with. So when we really come and get saved and trust Jesus Christ and repent of our sins, we cannot be the same person if we tried. Once we are saved we are more than likely going to sin, but it is not planed upon. A Christian cannot enjoy sin. Only a person that is not saved, can go out and have a great time sinning. For more information on this, read the book of 1 John.

True repentance

True repentance is to recognize that Jesus is indeed Lord and Christ! The results being changed a changed behavior and turning from sin.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart

Psalm 92:1-2
It is good to give thanks to the Lord
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To declare Your loving kindness in the morning
And Your faithfulness by night.

The soul

The soul of every man always eats what it is hungry for, and has its life according to the nature, state, and condition, both of its hunger, and its food. If it hungers after the world, it takes in the world and only grows in the beastly nature and will reap the corruption that belongs to the world. If the soul hungers after God, it eats the food that gives life to angels, the bread that is come down from heaven, and must reap the perfection that belongs to heaven.

The Day of the Lord

Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

Our life

Life is not about living our life.

To have life you must be in Christ.

Everything else is death.

Without Christ we can do nothing that has value.

The only that can happen to us without Him is deception.

Enter the ark

"I saw the dead, small and great and the books were opened, and another book was opened. which is the book of life, and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to his work. And whosoever was not found in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. ~ LET US OPEN OUR MINDS SO WISELY BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

Those who learn to trust God has no need to worry.

Look at the birds of the air? They do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet our Heavenly Father feeds them. Are we not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6: 26

Jesus made it clear that living for personal gain will only lead to great anxiety. Materialism and anxiety are two enemies of spiritual growth. They often work together to lead us away from a balanced life. We need to realize that the essence of life is not found in the possession of things and that worry about the future is never helpful. By ourselves we have little power to change the future, so we must trust God to take care of us. And God does promise to provide for our needs, for he loves us and gives his children good gifts. Which one of us can add one day to our lives by worrying? Therefore, those who learn to trust God have no need to worry.

Luke 6:30, 35-36

Luke 6:30, 35-36 tells us to "give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back." "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” These verses and many others in the Bible teach us that Christians are to be loving, merciful, and self-sacrificing. As we see the needs of people all around us, our hearts should be full of compassion just as our Heavenly Father has compassion towards all people. "The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made" (Psalm 145:9).

It is right to have a heart that would continually give to others, and it pleases God to see this wonderful characteristic in our lives.
