Would you buy this house...?

Dear All...

I need your opinion...

In my neighbourhood, there is a house on auction... enquiry as to why this house is in the market, it was revealed that a suicide happened there a few months back...

Now the shocking part is... this is the second suicide in the same house - six years apart, exactly the same way, both males of whom their wife or girlfriend left them... no relation to one another...

Would you buy this house if the price was good...?

Let's talk money...

Dear All

All these years I did my own thing...paid my own bills and would rather get along without something than to ask or even borrow... Based on my personal circumstances I haven't been in a relationship for some time, but if I listen to other people I get confused as to the management and contributions of the different parties in relationships.

What would you consider to be fair in the following circumstances?
1) Dating - what is the 'norm' ...is it a 50/50 contribution even if one party earns far less than the other one?
2) If the relationship moves to the 'next level' and these parties would stay in one house... is it a 50/50 contribution including rates and taxes of that specific property, even if the one party earns far less than the other one?
3) Is the argument of the man is the provider (may differ across the different cultures), still valid in today's world?

Maybe a short question could be to our males as to ...would you expect your girlfriend and/or wife to contribute to expenses as occur with dating and/or living together...?

Only curious...

I am so happy to be me...

I am a well trained Industrial Psychologist. I specialised in psychomotoric assessments to select operators who has to operate dangerous equipment in dangerous environments. With these type of assessments you assess the natural ability such as hand, eye and foot coordination, concentration, speed and distance estimation and the ability to see changes in the natural environment (necessary if conditions where the operator needs to operate such as with rain, change). I compiled risk profiles of applicants ensuring better fit and consequently less risk for accidents and damage to equipment.

I loved my job, however I gave up every thing to move closer to my folks to be in a position to assist them more. I don't earn halve of what I used to earn while working for an employer...However, at night after I tugged in my folks and when I see the gratitude in their eyes for my help...It made every aspect worth it...

It is a great feeling to know I make a difference in an area no money can buy... I am so happy to be me...

The role of legal professionals in legal cases?

Dear Friends

I know opinions could vary from country to country...but what is the ethical role of legal professionals in legal proceedings in your opinion and experience?

My question is thus, what are the legal responsibilities of our legal professionals in settling cases as soon as possible. Or is the only responsibility to present what was said and available at the time...till next time? Are there any Governing Bodies governing not only the legal correctness of proceedings, but also the efficiency of the Process?

Any comments or experiences or even input?

Your input and thoughts are appreciated.

Very warm SA greetings

Nerve wrecking driving...Help!

Dear All

The neighbour have awesome young children. They all like the aunty next door...that's medancing. The other day the 'young ones ' invited me to go along on a safari trip 200 km from our home town. What a suppose to be treat for the day..., but my oh my wow - the drive down there got me thinking I need to have my blood pressure checked. Thought I would be in a position to take a snooze sleep, being a passenger for a change, but instead it kept me thinking confused as to if all is in order should it be my last day angel.

Long story short, we arrived in one piece applause,...these youngsters were raised in a farm environment, so they could drive since they were very young, they got their licences the first time they went to qualify, but still their driving is just different in my experience. Is there any one else with the same experience, or is it just me, being a bad back seat driverdoh

PS: Think everyone can guess what I did when I got home again...
cheers

So what is the protocol on CS? Any plans to meet w

Dear All.

I haven't been on this site for long and really enjoyed it so far. Maybe the topic has been discussed previously, but are there any plans to maybe get together in 2015? I am not a big traveller, therefore I will not necessarily join the travel forum, however it will be great to meet blog friends in real terms.

Maybe there is a boat trip and we can set a date, and all CS travellers can wear purple that day rolling on the floor laughing . on a serious note, ...We can wear any coloryay . Even our CS site people can join, they do an awesome job, by providing us with the interface to communicate.

To All of you...Thanks for a great time on this site. God bless...Merry Christmas...xx

How prepared are we really for negative life Event

Dear All

A month or two back my mom fell and got a hip injury. What a traumatic event...she was taken to a hospital 300 km from our home town for a hip replacement. My dad is bed bounded for the past 15 years and our focus was so much on the assumed 'weaker one ' that when mom got the injury we really realised that very little was in place for what happened that morning at our house. This made me again to realise that there are no guarantees in this life...5 minutes and our life can make a dramatic turn.
Thought to share this as we can so easily get overwhelmed by the atmosphere of a festive season and the idea of a great life and great living that we sometimes go unprepared for bad things that can happen.
How many of us have 'pajamas' and a 'every one could see that tooth brush' in case we need to go to a hospital, has someone with a spare key for our homes in case we need someone to fetch something for us, has a file with our medical cards and other important detail? Do we have unattended important issues that we will regret in case we will not be able to do that any more even if we want to. Example...that promised visit or undelivered letter...

My point is...One should be also prepared for the unexpected and, if we want to do something, we need to do it today as life is a blessing and not a guarantee.

Time to take 'stock'?

Dear All
I tend to take life seriously. This applies to my job, relationships and all the dimensions I belief I can impact. This time of the year I focus very much on things I am grateful for and the things I could maybe have done differently. It gives me a sense of closure for this year and energy for the new year to come. Are there other people who also despite the festive atmosphere use this time to seriously take stock in order to prepare for the new Year?

Why does bad things happen to good People?

I need perspective...and I am therefore open to different opinions.
Background:
I'm a trained Industrial Psychologist and left a good job in Johannesburg to move closer to my folks last year December. My dad is bed bounded for the past 15 years and my mom had polio as a little girl. Most of my family is in Germany, I'm the only child, couldn't find a life partner as yet and do not have any children. Just as I arrived in the Northern Cape, my mom fell and I have two bed bounded folks I have to take care of.

Question:
Now, I need to know if there are any other people who also sometimes wonder as to why bad things happen to good People?
I'm not Miss Perfect, but I try to be good and do good where ever I go. So, tell me why does life have to be like This? Am I the only one who are maybe too critical when it gets to why things happen the way it Does?

PS: Remember to give the people you know who are caregivers a special hug this Christmas, as it could be very much needed.
