Making money from blogging...

Some of you are spending hours posting and commenting on blogs ... conversing Amazed where you get the time for all of this... However, I do enjoy peaking in reading some of the things on my fellow single colleagues minds... hug

What I enjoy more, is money...wink . Apparently one can make mega bugs from blogging... I am still investigating exactly how this is working... but in short... If you have your own independent blog, and many visits ... big companies could pay a arm and a leg to advertise on your blog... Maybe something to look into for all the blog lovers who has time .... wave

How are drivers and operators selected your countr

Since this is one of my areas of speciality... I can't resist for asking...

In SA, in some dangerous sectors, such as mining, transport and construction, we assess also the drivers and operators psychomotoric abilities, such as ...eye, hand foot coordination, the ability to manage a stressful situation, ability to concentrate in monotonous circumstances and the ability to see signals outside the normal peripheral field. We have norms and a risk profile is created for every applicant. These risks are thus managed as part of a safety strategy to ensure that incidents and accidents are minimised. This is besides the normal training and licensing process that also take place.

I am curious, do you have similar practices in your country or sectors in your country or are drivers and operators selected primarily on training and reference/track record? teddybear

If you are...

If you are very rich, very beautiful and very intelligent, looking for a partner who will be your equal on all the above mentioned aspects, this site is a wrong place to be. Your ideal partner has a busy schedule... he is invited to attend a dinner in Monaco yacht community, is booked to attend a cultural and arts exhibition in Paris, has an appointment with his designer in Milan, has a planned family event in Sacramento California he can't miss... and then his reunion with his Harvard colleagues is also an important event coming up. His apartments in Europe and the UK also got recently renovated and he didn't manage to sign off as he didn't have the time yet for inspection visit. This type of guy is thus to busy and popular to be on a free dating site... Here we'll find normal, average people, suppose we all would need to compromise on something if and when meeting someone special here... That's why I am still here wink wink teddybear

PS the 'he' could also be a 'she'...

Name for an interactive single club in the NC?

I need creative minds to assist me with ideas...

I moved to a rural area in SA, with many small surrounding towns in a radius of 300 km's. There are not many things to do and I got this brain wave starting an interactive social club for singles in the Northern Cape. We have a stunning country site and singles could thus explore the surrounding areas together applause ... We could also do music or dinner evenings over weekends...

I am prepared to coordinate this brain wave doh and I'll also advertise in the major newsletter for this area... However, I don't have a name and need your help...

The intent is thus a club for professional, decent singles, 35 years plus ... size maximum 16 (only teasing with the size...rolling on the floor laughing) for frequent get together ' s and socials...

Any suggestions ...?teddybear

Accountability for what we write...

We all need to realise that we are all here for a specific reason...Some wants to meet that special one, others are here as they just want to some have fun. Whatever the reason, we need to grasp that even on this site we do have the ability to have a major influence on someone else's life... whether it is to make people smile, share similar experiences, gain some new insights and so forth...

The contrary is also possible...on this medium we can also make people sad ... even evoking feelings of resentment and extreme loneliness. The latter could even be devastating if a chain of events occur or if many people would support a personal 'argument'.

We often focus on scammers, how cold these people are to deliberately harm or fraud others. People who do not take accountability for what they write, not caring for the possible impact their input has on others... is that really so much different from what we could expect from our cold hearted scammers?

My point is thus a request not to underestimate the impact the Cyber world can have on others and to take cognisance of the influence we leave, in this medium, in the life of others.

May you All have a great day/evening on your side of the planet...teddybear

Genes versus influences ...?

What would you say... what weighs more...genes or the upbringing, schooling and/or influences in a person's life?

Our world 2065...?

How do you 1) imagine this world to be for our grand children's children...considering global warming, the role of technology, scarcity of space, existing resources and water, a very volatile economic and political environment world wide... and 2) do you think our current young people are really prepared enough for future challenges?

The art of listening...

A few years back I rented a small town house in an upmarket neighbourhood in Pretoria. This complex had a common area close to the visitors parking where one could wash your car. At the time I was driving a small old Volkswagen...

One Sunday afternoon, I didn't feel like taking a nap, but rather washing my car in the common area...obviously I had my oldest sweater on for this occasion... Half way through ... a fancy car parked in the visitors parking and a very fine lady and a little girl passed me...The lady couldn't resist showing empathy for my effort saying that not far from the complex one could take the car for a non touch wash and that only for R 40.00 a wash. I bluntly looked up and innocently said it could be expensive for people who do not have money...

Yeah, needless to say... 5 minutes later and the little girl was back with R 40. 00 in her hand and very excited to announce it was for me... I was speechless for a while, got my words back and said thank you but I am almost done and that the little girl should put that in her penny box...

The art of listening ... with hindsight I could have made money this way...laugh rolling on the floor laughing

The art of being humble ...

I had been busy recently, consequently I did not partake in too many blogs. However, I do enjoy peeking in once a while to see if my favourites are still here. I also enjoy reading some of the profiles.

Quite often I see comments, blog writings and even profiles flaunting how successful, beautiful and even intelligent some members claim to be. That could be true, however it is a real pity that all these wonderful people should be stuck somewhere in something, looking for affirmation on a free chat/dating site and that from people they most probably will never meet.

The challenge in life is to value our successes, intellect and beauty as blessings, without constantly creating a subjective base of what is good or not good enough. To all the people on this site who manage to remain humble, allowing space for different opinions from people with different backgrounds (as typical expected on this free site), a sincere thank you...bouquet
