Brick's in the Wall

I make mistakes. I try to learn from them, not repeat them, don't let them jade me. Far too long I had a wall built around me. Only close friends in, everyone else kept at a distance. Someone posted a thread, about self preservation. Damn good thread. Things happen for a reason but I honestly don't understand the true meaning of this saying anymore. Self preservation is a good thing and a human trait we each possess. I know that if a few brink's fall out of place in life's journey, it is ok. Recently, I took a stroll on the other side of the wall and found the time and reason for removing brick's were all wrong. Age has nothing to do with knowing when it is ok to take down some or all of the brick's. It has to do with trust and honestly. Thing's I still believe in.
