love is giving

The essence of love is the spirit of giving,one person to another,and manifests at its best in the giving heart.
But first one has to overcome the selfish side we have,not easy,then find someone who can recognise the giver within you.
Love is always active, long after the word is spoken.

I agree 100% but let's be honest: 99% of women (men, too, perhaps but i know women better) do not realize this. This modern world is getting crazy. Everybody is demanding and expecting and greedy to get and receive things. The GIVING character is vanishing. Thanks for your comment. It gives me hope.

i always thought if you give big hugs teddybear you get extra kisses lips lips lips not true peter scold perhaps the reason for the some change in some people .. sad flower

Yes, I agree. Real love is always active, not just words being spoken. Sometimes it's easy to forget that you started out wanting to give & bring happiness to the one you love. In the everyday struggles of life, it can be easy to become selfish.
But the rewards are great & bring much more happiness not only to your loved one, but to you as well, once you realize this & don't take the other for granted.teddybear

When you truly love someone, the giving will come automatically from the heart. As soon as selfishness is a part of your life, then its not reallly true love and get out of the relationship. dont even try to make it work or believe that you can compromise. you will burn in the long run.

Again i am positively surprised to see another mature comment... from a man. Could it be that men love deeper? Anyhow, the point is to love WITHOUT expecting a return. Now that may happen subtle and unconscious (our ego is very smart) that we won't realize. Expactations are a trap!
As soon as such gets unfulfilled - 'love' stops, or sometimes turns into hate. So here we have a perfect definition: To give without expectations. The question is, can we do it? Just try and see whats happening. The result is amazing!heart beating
