exhausting but FUN FUN FUN!

Indeed it is exhausting to be in work for 8 hours and another 4 hours extra activity. But being with children.. It is FUN FUN FUN!

Im here in my bed thinking about how stressful work can be, and at the same time im thinking about my teaching plan for the children, I closed my eyes and remember their faces, their smiles and their energy during the class'. Those things gives me power to to wake up the next morning.

Being a nurse is not an easy job (all job are easy) all emotions are there. Different people, different patients, all sickness, and struggles in life, we encounter that everyday. But once the clock says my duty as a nurse is finish for the day i feel little butterfly on my stomach knowing i will be with the children once again, 45 minutes trip to the city and i have the priviledge to have a little nap. And when the door of our bus open i feel like another day has begun.

Hearing them shouting "teacher teacher! there is teacher!!!" is like an encouraging words for me to shake out those stress.
their hugs are like a warm blanket that calm me, their kisses on my cheecks, nose, head and hands are like small droplets of rain that washes away all worries and bad things. And i feel like a kid again once we start playing and laughing and singing..

And u know what is more rewarding?
When you see your children silently listening to the bible stories and verses and they actively answer all your question. Though it is hard to explain sometimes because some words they will take it very literal.

Teacher: anyone knows the meaning of humility?
Kid1: teacher? is that the weather we are perspiring so much and it is too hot?!
teacher: aahh i think that is humidity? its another word honey.
Hows about being down to earth person?
Kid2: teacher?! u mean we should be lying down in the soil?
teacher: hehehe

Nice to know that children are interested in knowing Jesus.

I understand the feeling since I taught for 10 yrs before I came to Japan. BTW, I'm a Pinay too. Hello there! I'm just confused because you said you're a nurse but you are teaching.confused Or maybe a double job meaning double salary. In that case I'm envious. I was once a public school teacher in Quezon City. Though the salary was so meager then(from 1981 to 1990) I was happy interacting with the young. Had I not been a bread winner I could have been contented teaching till now.sigh
I work at night so I know how you feel , I just finished a 15 hour shift ,its a good thing I dont do it every night
