SECOND DEGREE ENCOUNTERS

Working recently at a hotel reception, enriched my knowledge of the Italian and Spanish. tomorrow expect a group of Germans, but those I know since i was a kid. I like meeting people from other countries and with different habits and customs.its nice
to greet our customers and listening to their views on my country.
i love this job and the money is good on those tragic financially times for my country.

If tomorrow Germans are coming,you should learn some simple german words that are used by them very often:
for example,'schnela',schnela' or'raus',raus'
I hope these simple tips will be useful for you...

Halakala,your right, thats words they use very often and are good to know, but I doubt they appreciate it if these words are told to them, specially on vacation
If I,m right those words mean faster faster get out get out

Germans are our neighbours and the good thing is, if they speak plain German and we speak plain Dutch we both can speak our own language and still understand each other, and talk togheter

THey thought that native American were simple barbarians...it was normal thinking in 19th century..
and remember please that they were descendant of mostly Anglo-Saxon people /just British,simply speaking/ who came here on "Mayflower' ship in 1620.

well thats a good thing, if they can support themselfs.
we are in a kind like situation too, not as bad as Greece, but it's not getting better overhere either, and I am also glad my daughter can support herself and even help me at times,
we just have to make the best of it and wait for better times I guess

I know what you mean, I do follow the worldnews, and think your right about being in a pointless position, I don't envy you.
Holland is wurthless but Greece is even less, sorry to say so, but I think you agree, and even I would have problems to stay positive if I was in your shoes.
