Don't we all have them, every now and then, one of those days you think, Oke, is this it?What am I doing here, is this all life has in store for me?
And then just when you needed it most, getting an unexpected love letter that makes you realise:
This is what makes life worth living
Thats what happend to me.
To mommy,
I just wanted to tell you how much I love you.
Last 2,5 years we talked a lot about daddy, how sweet and good he was, how much we all miss him, and how tough it is to live without him. It;s been a hard 2,5 years, falling down, getting up, laughing, crying. One day better then the other.
But we where there for each other and helped each other trough those hard times.
None of us, 4 kids, can imagine how it is to loose your buddy, but you know how hard it is to loose your daddy way to young.
Time after time we say, wish I could tell him one more time how much we love him. He will always be in our hearts and minds and he will never be forgotten.
but you are still here and we do can tell you how much we love you, and I feel that all 4 of us do that not enough.
You're alone now, having 4 kids, who all come to you if we have problems. You are always there, you listen to us, solve our problems, you laugh with us, but also tell us the truth, even if that is not what we want to hear that moment.
You teach us what life is about, and we can not always have what we want.
Daddy and you taught us to take care for others, even if it means, sometimes you have to let go things for yourself.
I have a great respect for you, and want you to know that.
We should be very grateful with a mommy like you, and I feel we need to say that more often.
I could never have wished me a better mommy.

Summer
you know Summer, when we get kids, all we want is the very best for them, and we hope they become good people.
We also tried to do so, but have to say, sometime you doubt you did it right. What they do is not all in our own hands, they are people of their own, with a mind of their own, and their own mistakes to make. We can give advise and be there when they need you, so they know there is always a safe haven to go to.
But a times you need it the most, getting a letter like this, makes you realise, you don't have to doubt, they understood what you tried to teach them, and also have the courage to speak it out loud.
This is what makes life worth to live for and no one can take that away.

If thats what you mean, I,m not afraid of that, cause for
all the adventures of life we already survived togheter, life could have already defeated us a 1000 times.
Ofcourse, never say never, but a letter like this bonds us once again a bit tighter.
We go trough fire for each other, and we know we can depend on the other, but it never hurts to renew the vow once in a while, just as in every kind of relationship.
I love my kids and they love me, what more is there to wish.
