Good luck! As far as I have read you, you are a good blogger!
I don't write any blogs - I just reply to blogs - read the blogs on here some will give you great idea's. People reply to interesting & funny blogs - think of everyday experiences that inspire you then put a funny twist to it or be serious & share with all the other bloggers on line to
good luck
We never know or predict if a blog will be read by many or not. Besides of the skills and the popularity of the blogger, it also depends on the time of posting, the direction that the comments will take, the presence of the blogger... When I post a blog I make sure I have some free time so I can maintain the discussion. Yes it's not a forum but I think it's polite and kind to the others if the host is "at home" when they visit the blog and comment.
Also, the quantity of the comments is not something too relevant. I am most happy when the comments are insightful and elaborate the topic, giving different angles and perspectives, and also ideas for other blogs :) Sometimes the comments are better than the blog and then the blogger should be really happy :)
According to the strict definition of a blog it's more a shared diary than a dialogue and discussion. We have discussed this several times here and most of the people agreed that CS blogs should be more open to talks and discussions, therefore a hybrid genre between blog and thread, because all we do here is to get to know better ourselves and the others...
Good luck!
