girl in Boy scouts?

i can't believe a mother would sue because her DAUGHTER couldn't join the BOY scouts.... like it's the boy scouts! well shes the only girl in the BOY scouts now. why couldn't she just join the girls?

Onme........I thought it was a boy who wanted to join girl scouts that I saw in the news the other day? I will have to look for the story. Now I'm confused........either way, I do agree with you. Why?

Maybe there is a girl wanting to join Boy scouts as well, but this is the article I had seen? I don't get it!

Maybe I am old fashioned and need to open my eyes. Sounds like the girl scouts are supporting this. Good for them. I can't imagine the grief this boy will get though.

what they said on the radio was now a girl can join boys scouts but boys cant join girls i guess there different ppl who run them, different rules... maybe i heard the story wrong?either way.. i cant understand it..

Maybe the mother hopes to earn a few well needed dollars by winning the lawsue? Who allowed this misuse of the legals system anyw? This would never happen in Norway, but im not sure why.

Any bright heads with better english then mine who can explain this to me?

So that is my complain about the whole abilety to sue anyb in such a case. On the issue of boys vs girls.. does it have to do with boysscouts being seen as more valuable than girlsscouts?

I feel even the mother won the case the real looser is her daughter. She's going to miss out on hanging around her gender and will change the whole dynamic of the boys scouts. Gee, give those soon men to be some space and privacy around the campfire!
