Meeting different people..But DOES IT WORK?

Hi Big!

"Meeting" people here is very different from meeting people in reality. Plus, when people are on a dating site they are more picky since they expect their filtered and focused search here to lead to perfect results. Also, people here are often separated by a big distance. Another thing, often people are disappointed after meeting in reality, so they may try again... and again.

Something goes wrong? Do you expect a dating site to be more effective than reality? How long time do you need to find your love in reality? Months? Years? Or a whole life?

I think people exaggerate the possibilities of a dating site. It's just one more option, nothing more.

that is possible 2 or 3 years in one site,maybe we do find someone but after a while we discover,he/she is not the right one

I was on Plentyoffish just on & off two or three times. There were more women in my area there than on CS here & every time I logged back on there were the same women still there some had been on there close to five yrs. Obviously not really looking.

Spring I have a friend who spent quite a time on Plentyoffish and she told me many people (including her) used it just for dating different people.

I've been here for over a year now
And I think I've got 2 friends and nothings gone wrong!!
They are Thousands of Miles away !!!
And Locally ??? I thaught I had the Plague...

Big, I think you do not contemplate that sometimes, the search and expectation of themselves can be a very pleasant joy!

big1974, i join this site twice and both times within two weeks i found dates and go out, this time i found the right one. You have to look in the mirror and see what you are offering and ask for something equivalent.

Well, bio, I think you are right. Something is wrong about it. As for me, I have certain expectations and I am not going to discard them. If I didn't have them, I could look for someone around me, with no internet interference.

I've encountered a number of interesting characters here, some with whom I communicate off site and others on site. I love these interactions. Just as in real life, each of these contacts(friendships) are different and fulfil a different role in my life. I appreciate them all for their individuality
