Where one's mind is concerned, I believe it would be so.

But then, if you lost your mind it would be replaced by another state of mind which would essentially still be your mind and you may not have the sense of losing anything. Hmmm.

not to make a joke about it, but when i lost my toe nail i didnt think how much i would miss my old one, the new nail looks like an eagle clawsigh
