"I NEVER Knew You!"
How do you feel if someday, someone who you think close to you and you love, suddenly says "I never knew you!"...? Me, my heart will break into pieces! Further, how if God who said that? Impossible? Let us check!Mathew 7: 21-23 >> 21 "Not, everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he(or she)who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'.
I always say that my God is Jesus Christ and I'm a Christian. I know (a little) about the Bible (still must be reminded sometimes. This is the important to have 'brothers' and 'sisters'). I pray, worship Him, go to church 1-2 times a week, served Him.... BUT, when 'that day' (end of time) come, IF in my daily life, I didn't do my Father's will and did what I wanted to do as my own will, living with my flesh(Galatians 5:19-21). Everything what I have done above, will be meaningless! My Father will say: 'I never knew you!'
What should I do then? Jesus Christ always loves all of the human being, but He also has the rules, and the rules exist in the Bible! It's very easy to pick some verses and 'blab blab' them everywhere... but... I do the verses or not?! This is what Father counts. As He said : ....so faith without works is dead also (James 2:26). And it means "cast into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:50) Hmm... the real barbeque!
I realize and admit that to do my Father's will is NOT easy! I'm an ordinary person; I have my own will, I have my anger, I have my rebellion etc....BUT... I have a willingness to learn to be a doer of the words. And learning will take a lifetime. I'm not shame or afraid, if because I learn to do my Father's will there will be many people who laugh at me, call me hypocrite, 'stoopid' ,ignorant, or leave me (oh, thanks God!), etc, etc... Because I believe in Hebrew 12:14 >>> "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, wihtout which no one will see the Lord." And the Holy Spirit (in my heart) always will lead and give strength to do Father's will. Without the Holy Spirit with us, we can do NOTHING, even people can't say or confess that JESUS CHRIST IS GOD!!!

Excellent blog and Jesus is holding you tightly in His arms for your praise! It is exciting when you have a personal relationship with the Lord so I know exactly what you mean.
My sister, I have a pastor that says: We are all imperfect and learning Jesus Christ and what He expects of us is a lifetime process and HE knows that! I am so happy we are still learning! Glory to God! All praise and credit goes to Him.

Ok, excuse me, if I do a little interfere here. Thank you for your intelligent thought about Jesus Christ, Bible and Christian(ity). I myself believe that everything's written in (Christian) Bible is TRUE and came from GOD!
His love is REAL in my life and His rebuke also REAL, for my own good. I have so many experiences with Jesus Christ (not only me, but millions Christians who open his heart for Jesus Christ and serious in His tauhgt also have). That's why I'm very sure about the bible. And what I wrote here is based on the Bible, NOT from my own thought!
