dose everyone finish work at the same time , or would it be easier to have a coffee and wait an hour befor going home wave
Hi Narnia - Your mention of traffic in Jakarta made me unconsciously grip the arms of my chair, as if I was having some kind of bad LSD flash back.

Please warn me if you are going to mention traffic, pollution, taxi drivers or smoggy humidity in the future so I might avoid such disturbing, involuntary reflexes.
Write articles to your newspapers or the chamber of commerce in Jakarta....typing writing
Ask for companies to have staggering start/finish times..
some have 6am - 3pm start - finish
some have 7am - 4pm start - finish
some have 8am - 5pm start - finish
some have 9am - 6pm start - finish

I have solved your traffic problems - your invoice is in the maillaugh rolling on the floor laughing grin
Narnia....wave
I have prepared for the worse. I trained my feet for the traffic jam and I will go to learn swimming for the raining season, uh, flood. LOL.

Lesson : Look for boarding house near the office. It will reduce stress.
Btw, pretty new pic, Narnia hug
@ Choco : LOL! I can imagine the traffic jam and the passport procedure you have to follow. Glad that the process has finished. comfort
El and Bonita, don't forget the new time zone arrangement planning. They plan to set Indonesia time zone using Bali time zone (center of Indonesia). It means, west Indonesia will quick 1 hour than now and east will be late 1 hour than now. All same hour with Bali.
Yeah, summer...heard of it. Be effective starting from end of October sigh Getting up earlier, going to sleep earlier crying
Bonita : I go to office at 6.45am in Medan. Then it means I might departure more earlier at 5.45am maybe..or even earlier than 5.45am when I stay in Jakarta. Wow!
Ewwwwww blues Where will you stay in Jakarta? bouquet
Yes an MRT (Mass Rapt Transit i.e. train system) will help alot. Bangkok was forced into this about 15 years ago and now has and overhead train and an underground train systems. They have seriously reduced peoples travelling times but its just kept them ahead of the game. Now they too are coming under pressure from huge numbers of commuters.

In Jakarta they will need to plan the system very well. Best get the Japanese to do it...
