Well, Green Eyes are not too common here. Majority have blue eyes. For example... if you search here for Red Hair and Green Eyes and show only photos for Ireland, you will get no more than 4 results for women. And one of them is NOT Irish. laugh

Gordon: Statistically, yeah sure you'll see a few more Red Hair/Green Eye combinations than most other places. But the numbers will always be low. And that's because, Brown eyed people are rare already here and it takes, IIRC a browned eyed and blue eyed parent to generally make a green eyed one and it's never guaranteed.
Nessa: Yeah the Leprechauns are generally depicted as Red haired. The Americans generated that image I think.

Maddog right, my father is light-blue eyed and my mother is dark-brown eyed and my eyes are well not totally green but green on sunlight and darker at night. I ve been called "Green Eyes" laugh
