GEOCACHING

Good evening all.

Have you ever heard about geocaching?
Have you ever taken part in geocaching?
Would you like to involve into this international game?

Last weekend I was invited to take part in geocaching walking.
I was amazed, all is well – organised and you can get a lot of benefits from it.
We walked for longer time according GPS, it was a bit thrilling and exciting, to get the goal, find the small box with cache and insert our one – amazing!

We had to PAF a SGC ... but at last we were „ Smiley“
Awesome feeling to take a part in an international game.

hiya Ted,
I walked with me SGC - a person who is active in game. They have clubs all over the world and they communicate to each other even they have their caching forum. I was just invted to take part, but I am thinking to join the club. thumbs up
think i might do some research about it.. see if they have any clubs in belgium.
It was fun, I was told caches can be in woods, in cities, in parks... interesting places. I think it is great motivation for people just go out and walk and entertain themselves. I saw geocaching family, wanted to find some " precious " cache laugh

I am sure there are in Belgium.
Yes I heard of it. It's like a treasure hunt with GPS.
yeah Mad head banger it was great, a lot of walking according GPS, and hunting the cache ( treasure ).
I have to admit, we were not FTF cool laugh
rolling on the floor laughing
I just want to show off that I know some caching slang laugh
nothing with second best activity in the world wink
First to Find
we were not first who found the cache cool
confused ......dunno
grin ...OK..........seems interesting wave
I have done something similar with my children several years ago before a GPS was popular. They called it stamping. Directions were given on where to find the hidden box that contained an ink stamp. When you found it you would put your ink stamp in the book and you had your own book that you would take the hidden stamp and stamp it in your own book. A lot of fun for sure! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. I will have to check it out, may be some cheap fun to do again with the kids now that they are older, not to mention it is good exercise! Thanks for the idea Saggi!handshake
Can I put u in the small box? Or CHOCOlate.dunno
Sometimes I found those caches without GPS. It is good to get to know how GPS works. But never tried it.
Guadal,
Are you asking bsooner because Saggi66 is mine tongue ....scold
Bsooner wave
I enjoyed Saturday afternoon, and I am sure it can be just great activity for parents and children. I remember our parents as well think out several games and activities to spend Saturday afternoon outside.

Geocaching is fine, they have got their website and clubs, I like their idea.

Go for it with kids and I am sure you all will enjoy, and... you will spend time together.

thumbs up

"A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook where the geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (Tupperware or similar) or ammunition boxes can also contain items for trading, usually toys or trinkets of little value. Geocaching shares many aspects with benchmarking, trigpointing, orienteering, treasure-hunting, letterboxing, and waymarking."

all info on their official site
Good Luck & Fun
