Christmas without you ...

It's only 2 days before christmas, and i am having the same feeling again- empty, alone, and lonely, it will be my second Xmas far away from home. I have been here in Singapore for more than 1 year, and I can say say that here Xmas is not much celebrated, In my country where I grew up its the most awaited event of the year where in you can give and exchage gifts with your family & friends you can even go out of town to celebrate. The streets is covered with lights and christmas decors, and you can hear the children's carolling.How I wish I can spend christmas with my family, but its not possible- taking leave on holiday is not allowed :(

Sorry to hear that, I always have the possibility to head home and spend christmas with my family. It would be a big disappointment for my family and myself if it would be different so I understand you feelings 100% hug
Do you have friends in Singapore? Maybe some friends or people you work with are in a similar situation and you could spend part of the day with them. handshake

Sorry too,that your feeling alone,I understand completely,I'm away from my home town as well for almost a year,I return home in January. Hopefully you are able to speak with your family and friends via Skype or other means. They would be feeling the same as you,I'm sure. I hope you are also able to spend the day with some people that will bring a smile to your face.

So sorry for youmoping moping I am used to being on my own xmas now. Decorate house buy stuff in for xmas meal etc. Go for walk first thing xmas morning wishing everyone I see a merry xmas. All in alk not so bad. skype my family but it took a good few years to get to that stage. I hope you do not have to get used to being on your own and maybe be with friends family next year.teddybear teddybear hug hug

KNenagh & Shamaila - Thank you for your kind words, I have good friends here in Singapore they are like my second family, but ofcourse it's really different when I am with my family- the feeling is unexplainable. I also miss my nephew & my niece, back home before bedtime we would sing together before they go to sleep and i would send my niece to school in the morning, and then when she go home she would show me how many stars she got from her class on that day.. It would be really nice spending xmas eve with them and we would open gifts together, I will talk to them in skype tom as always and im sure it would be an emotional night for us.. Have a merry Xmas & Happy new year :) wine

Redex- I am not alone this Xmas i have my friends to celebrate with we even have party the reason why i am being so mushy and emotional is because I am missing my family so bad, and on occasion like this i just want to be next to them.. I want to hug and kiss them .. Have a blessed Christmas & new year

Dear Ice Cream,

I know exactly how you feel.

I am in the same state only perhaps a bit more alone. I moved back here just a few weeks ago and will be spending Christmas in a country which does not celebrate it at all and entirely alone. I have no friends here and my family will celebrate christmas day without me, 10 hours ahead.

I plan to try skyping them early in my morning (their night-time) but I have a feeling that skype will be being used heavily that day and may not be working very well so it could be a pretty lonesome day. I may as well go to the office...

I hope you are able to at least enjoy your day with your friends in SGP. At least you are living in a nice environment.

Ice Cream!

Well, many of us plan to be on here so lets have our own party. Last New Years Eve all of us CS'ers were on and we shared a record breaking blog! But the most important thing was we had a lot of fun albeit cyber.

We love you and even though all of us are far apart it is still the same!
