Hopeful in this Christmas night
I remember your handsholding mine in that frozen night
As we sat on a lonely bench
And how you kissed my cheek
Your love touching my heart
like the melody of the Xmas song
Stars above and brightness in your eyes
Filling our heart with
the kindness of a stranger
the eagerness of the lonely
a sort of kindled hope
that settles upon our soul
a hope for understanding
at the end of the night.
It was warm between us.
You and me.
a hope for the strength of heart
And I hope we haven't lost that
I hope we haven't become something colder,
something lost.
As this Christmas night falls so does
my head upon the pillow of dreams
where i sleeps alone
in an empty bed nade up of hopes
on which lies my solitary heart
I still hear that Christmas song
deep inside my heart
could see the stars
but missing the brighness of your eyes
and the warmth of your kiss
In this frozen night
ButI hope that even in the midst
of everyone else,
there will always be
you and me
