My Home: HONDURAS
As I promised in another blog here is a small portion of what I have to say about HONDURAS, my home....I live in Central America, in the very heart of it, as a lover of life,a person that can't stay still (I go anywhere on this country) and being Honduran by birth, I can assure you guys this is the BEST place on earth At least it is for me.
I come from San Pedro Sula, Cortés, I have lived here all my life and so far I have never had any trouble concerning security, in fact I have traveled almost all Honduras by myself, it is why I have completely fallen in love with my home and I share these facts with you! So from a Honduran you can know that every where I have gone I have made friends easily, people has been warm hearted, have shared their places, stories, smiles and even food. We are humble, we are happy, we love to party. Our families are the most important, also our religion. We breathe and sweat soccer. We enjoy the simple things of life and we are RICH in nature and beautiful landscape, God has really blessed us.
We are great cooks and dancers, we have beautiful women and excellent beer. We have hardworking and honest people that wish to be better every single day of their hard life, because yes, some people here have a hard time surviving but that is never a reason for people to be sad, we celebrate every thing, we get together, eat and dance.
We posses treasures: Copan and the Biosphere of Platano River to mention some, both have been declared as World Heritage by UNESCO and we have the Bay Islands, that have Roatan considered one of the ten best spots in the world for scuba diving recently mentioned on National Geographic.
With bad and good this is the land that has seen me grow and I have enjoyed all it offers, therefore I write you with sincerity that if you ever want to visit Honduras you won't regret it!
We have about 8000000 inhabitants, 112000 km2 and we border with Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Our main language is Spanish but the ones at the Bay Islands speak English, our currency is called Lempira and some of our well known products are shirmps, bananas and cofee. Most people here are Catholics and we are home of Punta music and conch soup.
Enjoy the pics. If you leave a comment I appreciate respect, thank you.
