Mushroom Hunting Season Is Here
Every year at this time of Spring the wild Morel/Morchella Mushrooms start popping in the woods, in and around our state, but most specifically on my propertyThese Mushrooms are a delicacy and every year thousands of us hit the woods in search of these Yummy natural treasures
I'm going out in a few hours to start collecting the first wave of morels. They normally start popping up when the Dogwoods and Redbuds are in bloom and my network of mushroom hunting friends call me and tell me they are already finding them
which they are and it is my duty
my favorite way to cook them is to split the morels in half, then dip them in whisked egg, then in cracker crumbs, then deep fried until golden brown...they have a meaty texture and a kind of maple flavor...very Delish

The ones below are proudly South African
They resemble sandpaper drums you use with your dremel tool
THEY ARE DELISHHHHH!
Thanks for sharing the picture and taste of the morchella mushroom.
I like mushroom very very much, good for health and
taste yummy
Morchella mushroom is not growing in my country.
if you learn how to prep a growing plot in an area that normally grows mushrooms and mulch a dutch elm tree, you might even be able to grow them yourself, although it might help to freeze the mulch to trick the spores into thinking its spring
In any case, they sure are tasty
store bought mushrooms you can eat a truck load and they have no affect unless you always had allergies to them, just like with penicillin
