I'm going out in a few hours to start collecting the first wave of morels. They normally start popping up when the Dogwoods and Redbuds are in bloom and my network of mushroom hunting friends call me and tell me they are already finding them
rolling on the floor laughing

which they are wine and it is my duty handshake

my favorite way to cook them is to split the morels in half, then dip them in whisked egg, then in cracker crumbs, then deep fried until golden brown...they have a meaty texture and a kind of maple flavor...very Delish grin

I lived in Northern California along the coast for awhile and the Redwoods had plenty of moisture and pine needles on the forest floor making great growing conditions for mushrooms. I only went with people that knew which ones were good because there were alot of poisonous ones too!

THEY ARE DELISHHHHH!
Some are very dangerous

Thanks for sharing the picture and taste of the morchella mushroom.
I like mushroom very very much, good for health and

Morchella mushroom is not growing in my country.
chingyap, there are websites all over the internet that sell dried morchella mushrooms and you can even bid on fresh ones on ebay that will soon be picked, sold and shipped directly if you desire to experience them first hand wine

if you learn how to prep a growing plot in an area that normally grows mushrooms and mulch a dutch elm tree, you might even be able to grow them yourself, although it might help to freeze the mulch to trick the spores into thinking its spring dunno

In any case, they sure are tasty yay
In the Malheur National Forest in Oregon, is not only the world's largest mushroom, but the world's largest living thing. The mushroom is estimated to be 2.400 years old and it now covers 2.200 acres.

And soon it will devour the world wow uh oh
Someone told me that the human body has a limit to eat mushrooms. Some eatable mushrooms are poisonous when eaten too much frequently, and in excess.
I eat them once a year at season when fresh and share the rest with friends and family.

store bought mushrooms you can eat a truck load and they have no affect unless you always had allergies to them, just like with penicillin professor
Fantastic! I've never eaten those but would love to try

Here it is the beginning of Truffle season in Canberrathumbs up
