The real news of the day...
The big headline of the day is the news of the newest addition to the royal family of England. While I certainly have nothing against what I'm sure is an adorable baby, I'm hardly thrilled or inspired. In fact, if not for what will surely be an under-reported event today's news would have left me as depressed as it typically does these days. However, a few independent news outlets have revealed that days after his acquittal, a man (and his family) who is literally in hiding to avoid death, stopped (along with 1 other) to help a family of 4 trapped in a burning, overturned SUV.Regardless of whether you believe George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin for any other reason but self defense, it is a well-known fact that there many bloodthirsty groups and individuals who intend intend to kill him on sight. What kind of person takes the risk of exposure and/or publicity knowing that could cost him (or his family's) life?
Some idiots are already accusing him of staging the near death experience of a family of 4, including 2 children in order to "make people like him". I say that's the most hideously brain-dead thing I've heard in a long time.
The truth is much more inconvenient for the race-baiters of America. George Zimmerman is a nice guy...even to his own potential detriment.

I do think the name of the other driver who stopped to help the trapped family should have been given.
Okay, sure, that's my opinion...but the facts are what they are and he was rightfully acquitted.
But that isn't the reason I posted this. Any self-serving individual of a lesser character would keep a really low profile for a long time. Not risk exposure. Not go out saving people.
