Soul mates are souls from our soul family - souls that were with you in many lives and who you have contracts with to play different roles in this life.
These souls reincarnate with you sometimes as partners, lovers, family members, friends and sometimes only for a short time.
It has become people's belief that we only have one soulmate... when, in fact, we have several who appear during the course of our lives.
I, myself, have met several of mine and they haven't always been happy experiences, but were there for certain lessons and to help with spiritual growth.
What we really want is to meet our "Twin Soul" - the ultimate relationship...
But, even if you have the chance to be re-united with your twin in this life, this doesn't mean that you will be living together forever in this life! Maybe you are on different levels of evolution and you will only meet briefly, and then go separate ways again?...
I remember a deep connection that I felt not long ago with a young woman (by the way our soulmates can be of the same gender). She was a ballerina and also a school teacher, here in spain.
From the first eye contact we seemed to know eachother. I recognized her, and she recognized me!
It was awsome! Unfortunately, this was only a short encounter...
I only know that we had to meet for a reason - learning something from eachother...
