hmm....

I love romance, I mean what woman doesn't? and the thought that when you've met someone for the first time that this may be the greatest love story ever, that this might be THE ONE, but the heart plummets when you realize it isn't so... and they move on...but each time it happens your hopes do not rise quite as high as the last time... but yet another day hope and heart reigns eternal....

Whenever I thought the guy is right, it all ends in disappointment. And the latest would always be a bigger disappointment than the previous. Guess that's just the way it is.. sigh
life is full of thorns but still we will seek the roses
You 2 girls are too pretty to start thinking that it' useless. Just be patient and it will happen!

Hi Diana.
Yes, our expectations dim a little. Then they spike again when we finally do meet one who is great and all that. Sometimes it only lasts for weeks, then other times it lasts years or decades. From experience if you find a great mate and the lord takes the person away, oh wow is it hard to find another. We try not to compare them, but it is natural to do so. I think the best tactic is to intentionally seek someone different but also very good. So far in three or four months here I see several that really get my attention. I am sure as you peruse the forums and blogs you will find some of interest too. Try not to insist on the greatest love story ever right from the starting gate. Disappointment always follows a long marathon race where you go at full speed right from the start because then midway you tire and stagger. Pace yourself. One day at a time. Allow it to either grow or wither as appropriate. If it is meant to be it will grow and bloom and wow you will be so happy you hung in there. :)
thata alot of words
