Reading profiles

We already have problems with scammers, but do we really need the aggravation of others when all it would take is a simple read through the profile page? I was asked yesterday why I was seeking because the man wanted me to travel to another state to see him. I've never spoke to this man and no, it's not possible for me to travel. I'm a single mom with responsibilities. But, even if I was free to do as I wanted, I would not be dumb enough to travel to another state to see a man I've never even spoke to before. There has been other emails that ask me questions that I state very clearly about in my profiles, such as giving my number out and that I want to move south. If we actually took the time to read the profiles of the people we find an interest in, whether it's friendship or other, we wouldn't waste so much time. It only takes a minute to read through a profile.
