earthquakes
Well we had a large quake, early hours of the morning. One of many we have had. By the time that you connect what's happening, you just don't connect the dots that maybe you should make a run for it.

Its moments like these you reach out to neighbours family and the internet and Viber etc are good, its a fast way to check if everyone is ok. Mobile Networks fail !
@ Daniel, Thanks, It's just another of many, to test us....Makes me think there's something happening on the other side of the earths plate.
We have them everyday, so It's when we get a big shake we take notice, last big one which was of any note was rated Strong 2 weeks ago also shallow

I think a big quake in the Alps won't have the same effect on Christchurch as the September 2010 quake because of the distance we are from the Alps. Christchurch will continue to shake for a while yet. I still think a big one might hit the Tai Tapu/Prebbleton area.
why not central downtown again? The one today was in what they refer to as the gap, between the plates?which is why I felt it.

I would think if there was a really big quake, Hawaii they may have to worry about a tsunami and more volcanic eruptions.
