I have looked at your profile and it seams okay for me... but then again I live to far away for a date. There is a lot of people one here who does not live in USA, so that could be the reason... or maybe they do not fancy you... I do not know. But for me it would be a waste of time to send you a letter... I am too far away to date you. There are people from all over the world here, not only USA.

You have to look at the profile in order to see what the person has to say about himself or what his preferences are. If you found when reading the stuff on the profile that you are not a match you don't contact that person.

Gordonal,Obviously they have to read your profile first before they decide if you are compatible or not..and if they think you are not, they move on to the next one... whats the problem Makes sense to me

I hear that women feel if they make the first move they will have to keep doing so throughout the relationship. I grew up hearing it is the men that chases the women. A lady will not enjoy leaving a note for a man only to have him ignore her.
Incidentally one of the reasons I ended up not being married is because I believe in honesty and truthfulness. Ladies do not like being told the truth.

I agree with ekself here : looking at someone's profile doesn't mean you are interested in them, does it?
Before buying a product in a supermarket, you first look at the ingredients listed on the tin, then you might buy it...

I have noticed that many people have looked at my profile - even some 30-year olds and people from all over the world.
I don't expect them to write to me and, even if they did, what on earth should I tell them?

It's hard to tell who's being honest on the world wide web just by what someone writes.

I read lots of profiles but only contact a few of them. Sometimes it could be because the men specify in their profile that they only want to hear from petite women, women of a specific ethnicity, or an atheist etc....... I don't qualify in any of those areas, so it would be a waste of his time and mine if I sent a reply.

Why do men assume that because their profile is looked at, a woman is interested? I look at lots of profiles, purely out of curiosity, it doesn't necessarily mean I want to be in touch with the person
