It is a very well thought of change, at least for me.
And Tent, that would be a good idea for me. Although I am sure the owner of this site already knew what they expected to happen for this change. And it is exactly what is intended for.
Plain and simple, for us to be aware of these old post and should we find it interesting then voila, just comment on it. There is nothing that says, you can't comment and or argue and or present any opinion one feels pertinent to the topic.
