Revving up the engine

Christmas is two day away and I can't say I am looking forward to a merry christmas because I am not at home in Jamaica.This statement may be selfish but I do not think anyone know how to celebrate christmas like Jamaicans.
This week is also the last full week of 2013. It has been a fantastic year and things will never be the same for me going forward. This week I stop and rev up my engine to launch myself into the new year. I cannot concentrate on christmas at the expense of the new year.
Still I want to start wishing a merry christmas for those who celebrate christmas and for those who do not celebrate christmas I want to encourage you to rev up the engines to launch into the new year.
I know some will say the new year is not special. This may be true but the elements that are outside our control says it will be the start of 2014 and that we cannot change. we can make a determination however to be different in 2014. It is within our power to do so and for those who believe and know how call upon God who is always ready to hear those who call.
Whether you believe in Christmas or not dont forget to or if you drive don't because we want you back here next year.
