My This & MY That!!
I have always wondered why companies, in the US anyway, always use the word "MY" to advertise. So many companies say that shopping is "MY way", that when I buy alot it's "MY rewards" and that these stores are "MY [insert name of the company here]".It makes me laugh that I have so much that appears to belong to me but when I look in my wallet I have no dividends, no cash payment from these guys or not even a free credit card to really go shopping "MY way"!
The world of corporate advertising is so funny. What a bunch of trash just so you will loosen the cash and credit card knot!

Isn't that the truth? I like going to Mom & Pop places that really understand "MY way" and give me great service because they really know "MY way" and "MY face".
Advertising has become a science and the is a lot of subtleties in words. By using 'my' in the stead of 'your' the induce a sort of an intimacy with the object. Aftyer all, doing some shopping 'my way' will produce a different trolley than shopping in 'your way'.
