First Kiss

We stood in the doorway
My hands on your waist
The clock ticking loudly
Almost in haste

I moved in closer
Your eyes locked in mine
I longed for the kiss
That would stop all time

Your lips met mine
And I felt the sensation
No longer did I wait
I gave into temptation

Your knees went weak
As I held you tight
Went back to my place
And watched morning meet night

Time wouldn't stand still
The night stretched on
Looked out of the window
Our night was now dawn

But our night lasts forever
In our mind and our soul
We take with us always
Memories never to be told
