Tragic beyond, honestly, heard this story on the news, and man, I cant imagine what the families are still going through, and yes a good reminder nam, I usually focus on the family stuff, those that have passed and how families are coping after their loss of loved ones......and forget about those that lived the turmoil and saw death, and attempted to rescue lives.....the responders....I cant imagine, they have to relive it everyday, and self doubt and question what they could of done different, backwards recall, if you could change something, so I think PTSD is something they probably will live with forever....but hopefully they are able to terms one day, that they tried their best with the knowledge and training they had, but again their are human with heartbeats, so being in shock and denial, symptoms of trauma, sometimes forever teddybear
What a sad sad story Nam..my heart aches for all in this incident. for those teachers who would have protected the children.. sad flower for those beautiful innocent lives taken in such a brutal way sad flower and for those dear police officers who gave their life in a way to do their job to try and help those who needed them sad flower

What on earth possessed that killer to do such an horendous thing I will and hope never know.. SO SAD!!!

Grateful for all who sacrifice for the betterment of all our lives daily teddybear teddybear teddybear
Also for those who lost a loved one that day.. left with the heartaches.. sad flower sad flower
Wallops...they found at why.....the authorities learned that the Mother of this guy was a volunteer for the school...she spent alot of time there for the children and was awarded a plaque in her honor for what she did for the children at the school...and him being jealous of the children getting all his Mothers attention..lost his mind and seeked revenge....thus you know the rest of the story....sad and a sorry tragedy.......
Nam,

We have a lot of "wackos" walking the streets! I am sure the police officers are still tramautized over this. How do you cope with something like this when you were there? Look at Columbined, Boston Marathon, etc. Is there answer to all of this?
Oh my goodness, Nam, that is sadder than ever. Words fail me..truly they do. That dear mother now lives with all this as well.. the children she loved at that school..the parents she came to know..the teachers she served with all pain and heartache then knowing her son did it... TOO MUCH TO BEAR! sad flower sad flower sad flower

On top of all that she will also grieve for her son.. SUCH PAIN sad flower
yes there is...not so much an answer but a possible deterent....what if the teachers were armed with handguns then?..i guarantee not many kids would have been killed...the scholl was the kind where u had to be buzzed in...they knew him as the son of the mother that volunterred there at the school..they wouldnt let him in...he blew out the window to get in....now ..if they carried he wouldnt have gotten far now would he?..nope!! the only possible deterent?..GUNS!!!...and no one wants to hear that.........
Wallops he killed his Mother in bed while she slept ,,,then went to the school!!!
Nam... my heart aches so bad for all of this...actually wiping tears as I write.. TOO MUCH! sad flower sad flower

May Heavens angels.. open their arms and wrap them around each child and person within this story... just overwhelmingly sad... sad flower
Hey Nam, 2nd amendment all of the way! Teachers need to be armed because of this kind of stuff!
Heh.. I do my job Wallops..and that is to not let them be forgotten....12 little girls..and 8 little boys...and the honored teachers which some defended with their lives and died..(when those children that could be questioned were..they are the ones who told how the teachers stood in front of the children and were gunned down before he went afte rhte children....
let them not br forgotten......
Jim ...its guns that allow peace to reign....
Amen brother! Lest not forget: "when guns are outlawed; only outlaws will have guns".thumbs up

My best friend by far and probably the reason im here now.....of course with about 20 other guys or so firing at the same time..there were no survivors..if there were ..well they didnt breath very long..didnt think it was a nice thing for them to do..but heh..there wasnt much i could do...I couldve easily ended up like the in the same way as the bad guys and nobody wouldve known the difference.........
