I have a friend who started doing some blogging as she has an illness that finds her in bed a lot so to use her time she began to blog. Lots of people became interested in her blogs and she has had lots of people wanting to sponsor her. Then she even somehow (much to her bewilderment) got an invite with some others due to her blogs to Buckingham palace. and personally met the Queen. The topic of her blog began about her illness to find out more about it and if anyone else could shed some light on it. Apparently she was voted 3rd in the country for viewings. She is shocked as she thought it would just be a few people... She also has been approached by a magazine to tell her story.. So yes it can become BIG!
Hi Mimi, It all depends on where we are in our life and what we perceive. To me the top picture looks idyllic and peaceful. The kind of road I would love to travel on. The second the fast road... Again to me I would be happy without lots of other cars around me.
If your referring to the journey of life and the roads we walk in sometimes they can seem long and lonely but there is always an end...to look forward to then another adventure.
Hi Cat Funny you should blog about this subject. I just checked my Facebook and saw these 2 thoughts that I copied to my phone (I like saving thoughts that make me think). think they might go with your topic...
The latter thought is one of our lovely GG's thoughts from FB.
I think sometimes we can all be careless with our word and they can have such power. I know I am guilty of it at times without meaning to hurt someone. You are not on your own.. We tell our grandchildren that something (directed at someone) is only funny if the other person is laughing too.
Good to realise when enough is enough! I admire people who can accept and can admit their mistakes... Because my goodness we certainly ALL make them. None is exempt!
Have a great day... I have my grandkids here.. . Which is why I haven't had chance to read other blogs as yet... Hopefully later.
seems like a long time since I was on one of your blogs... mind I haven`t been on CS for a while. Good to read your blog.. I loved your story of the birds. All creatures, animals etc are all so fascinating. I so enjoyed reading your experience.
... Hummmmm now I am curious... Should I be worried? Will have to zoom off and see what you have been saying!! Has Jim been missing too? anyone else not called in for roll call? must be these summer days of sunshine!
Those amazing grandkids of mine are keeping me Uper busy specially now in the holidays.
I saw your blog and thought .. Oh there will be nobody on it now.. as it is getting late, thought you would be in Lala land Cat by now.
Good blog. I am constantly working on my happiness.. because one thing I love to be is HAPPY!
Sounds like I have been missing out on a lot of fun and laughter on here but then you have the rowdy crowd on .. Viv, Dc and Crazy.. just to mention a few But I love em..
Non, no dads think they are perfect.. we just think they are for loving us and striving to teach us. My mum used to say.. `Love covers a multitude of sins! When a kid I used to wonder what she meant.. I realised then that she and dad both knew they made mistakes but because of their love I didn`t notice. All I remember was how loved I felt.
I am sure your kids think you are ... just the BEST!
DC, you have been one of those mothers that Ccincy has just mentioned and have filled both rolls.. I think you deserve your share for being mum and dad..
Ccincy, how true! .. and same where some dads have to be both too. I cant imagine how hard it would be to fill 2 rolls. I know your children had a great dad though.. I can tell by what you have shared. Such a blessing.
Hi Sola, not all women are like that you know? I personally do not want any compliment that is not meant from the heart .. nor would I give one unless it was sincere. I have been treated with really good respect by the men I have had the privilege to know. I know I am lucky with this as I do understand some have not had this experience and that is very sad.
Like Lukeon I was brought up with the example of how my mum and dad were with each other and it was a good example to me. I have 3 older brothers who treat me with a lot of respect growing up and I them. This carried over into boyfriends and marriage. I believe often when you treat someone with respect they usually do the same to you. Though I know there are always exceptions to every rule.
