Mimi, take it from me, your heart will only be ready for love again when you have TOTALLY let go of anyone who held your heart before. When you learn life can be beautiful just being you. I speak from experience Mimi. Love will come..you are young and beautiful but first just love yourself, discover who you are as a person in your own right.
You have to be very careful to not want to love and be loved so much you miss your life...also you can find yourself being in love with the idea of being in love, that is where we can make mistakes.

I do think there are many good and kind things happen on a daily basis... People doing acts of kindness, we just don't always hear of them but they are happening.
There are wonderful kind and loving people in this world and we have to remember this lest we feel total despair. Goodness happens all around us ... It just doesn't make the news. Mainly because people seek no reward for their kind deeds.

Oh Lindsey if only we had all the answers. I for sure do not nor ever will understand mans unkindness to another... No matter what scale... From an unkind comment to a person to out and out evil.

I am sure by things I have read that many hearts are heavy and greatly saddened by the pain all around caused by one human being to another. My heart has and is sadly affected by it.
I am no politician or have the intellect to know how to govern a country BUT I have a heart that says love, compassion, understanding, tolerance and kindness one to another would stop all wars.
Sadly though PRIDE I feel is the downfall of people... Then nations. The lack of humility to step back and admit we are wrong or to look at another's point of view.

We may not be able to change the world but we can change ourselves. We cannot do everything but we can do something and ought to do what is In our remit and power to do. If all we can do is be good and kind to others we meet.. To raise our children with a love and respect for mankind and a desire to do good and to reach out to be kind. Then it is a start to a better world.

Thanks for the blog Lindsey... I truly have felt sad hearing and seeing so much sadness around. Always grateful when I hear of a kindness shown for it gives me hope for a better future. Butters mentioned earlier about a homeless man giving his coat to cover a sick or dying dog. With people like this there is hope. The world will only change when we change.

Butters you have a compassionate heart for those you know give their all. Nam is honoring a woman who gave her all. No wrongs or rights both are good to do. To learn from and honour those gone before and to acknowledge that people today still sacrifice. None of these ask for acknowledgment but I think it good to remember and have examples.
The wonderful thing is in this weary world at times we live in... Good people are right now trying to make a difference.
You and Nam both are right in acknowledging goodness.

I understand what you are saying Butters. There are many many great men and women around us today who sacrifice greatly for the good of another. I know personally women whose goodness is right up there. Who take the homeless into their homes, who give of their substance to the poor who reach out with Hands of kindness to anyone in need. Who raise children to be good citizens and contribute to society.
This world can never have enough good men and women to be an example.
I say God bless great women who everyday make a difference with their love and compassionate hearts.

Some truth in this Minnie. There does have to be an attraction as well as friendship though...a spark that sets them a little different from the other friends in our life's. Though I do believe that special someone should be your best friend ... Or become so.

What a wonderful woman! A woman who honoured the name of womanhood as she was courageous, full of love and compassion. A great example for us all. Her goodness will always be a light for others to see how to love and treat her fellow men/women.

PR. This young man has been on my mind and his dear family. I agree with Lindsey, were it not for brave men like him we would not be as aware as we are of the truth of what is going in there. I am sure his wife and children are devastated right now with all this but I am equally sure it was a joint decision with his wife that he went.
As 2nd says our deepest prayers should be with him and his family. He needs to feel that he has made a difference right now and not be judged.
I wish there was something we could do to help I truly do.
My heart aches and feels very heavy for all who suffer at the hands of those who do such cruel and unkind things to any human being.... It is beyond what I believe our hearts and minds can comprehend and take in.
Thank you PR, for posting this, for the more people praying and sending positive thoughts the more this dear family and man will feel supported and loved.
Your kind and gentle heart is an example to us.

Ok true story.. A friend of mine when we were in our 20's was going to the chippy, he called in to see if his 70 year old neighbour wanted anything. She was entertaining a friend so she said "yes, I'll have fish and chips and cake and chips with bits on. My friend thinking it was for them both said "ok" to then hear the friend say "and I'll have the same". True story... The 2 dears both wanted fish and chips and cake and chips with bits on!!!!!
Still laugh at this all these years later....
