Are Love And Happiness Mutually Inclusive?
We all seek love; believing it will make us happy. Nothing can be further from the truth. Love on its own cannot make us happy and it is perfectly possible to be happy without it. Love is only one component of happiness.
Please note that I’m talking specifically about the love between a man and a woman here.
Happiness is not an emotion; it is a state of mind. But it does not come by itself. You have to work on it constantly. You have to make other people happy so they can contribute to your happiness as well.
We often confuse the euphoria of being in love with happiness. It only temporary blinds us from all the other things that make us unhappy. It will soon wear off. Our unhappiness with other things will have a negative impact on our love and pull it down as well. We have to be happy to enjoy unrestricted love.
Many things can make you unhappy but only you can make you happy. To be happy you must be satisfied with your life. You cannot claim to be happy while you hate your job, your house, or your sister-in-law. You have to identify and eliminate the things that make you unhappy. (Don’t eliminate your sister-in-law. It will bring more unhappiness. You won’t get away with 10 months.)
Take stock of the things that make you unhappy. Rectify the things that you can change, and then re-evaluate the things that you cannot change and accept that you cannot change it. Contentment is the first step towards happiness.
Love is not self-sustaining and does not bring lasting happiness, but it thrives on it. Work on your happiness and love will soon follow.
Remember that today is the first day of the rest of your life. Get a good start!

When you're happy with your life, you can do without a lot of things.
I feel the same about Women, but maybe the fault is with us. We just choose wrong every time. I think.
I hate to pop your bubble but there is no law of averages. It sounds as if you close your eyes when you decide. That is the time you need to have both eye wide open. And when you go through life with blinkers as I do, it is easy to make the same error all the time.
I suspect that you will need plenty of shoes and handbags to make you happy.
Start dating somebody who has a factory producing leather goods.

One does not need to be a handyman to be good with the hands. A handy man will also do. When I was young we had such a guy. The girls called him the octopus.

Why are women so concerned with minor detail like a bust line? It is something that has never bothered me. I'm more interested in the person and don't really care too much whether they're large or small. A hand full is enough for me and I have small hands.
Now that is sound advice. Insist on a guarantee as well.

Some people have long legs and other have short legs and yet, everybody's feet reach to the ground.

And as for happiness, I agree with you. It is only we ourselved can create that state of mind for ourselves. Nobody else, nor any material things, can do it for us.
