Pope Francis: Money and power soiling the Church.
VATICAN. The path that Jesus points out the path to love, to serve, but in the Church, people often go looking for power, money and other frivolous things. Here is the text of the homily the Holy Father Francis in the morning Mass Tuesday, 17/05, at the chapel of St. Marta. The Holy Father also stressed that the Christian must win worldly temptations want split the Church and warned those 'chance'. They were always seeking to exclude other people to climb higher position.
Christians tempted to win power
"The disciples had temptations of power. They think in the spirit world. The argument about who he was the greatest. But Jesus said to them that must be last of all, to make everyone who serves.
Standard on the path that Jesus is the only place to serve. The head must be served, humbly serving others rather pompous, vain, looking worried only power, money and other frivolous things. If anyone does not serve the people not the greatest. Arguing over who was bigger than what happened to the apostles, as well as the mother of John and James. And that is exactly what took place today in the Church, in every community. Of us, who is bigger than all? Who ordered? In every community, in the parish, in the organization always had a desire to be promoted and climb very high on the ladder of power.
A narrated reading a passage in the letter of St. James, in which saints were wary before passion people power, jealousy, envy led to the mutual exclusion.
This is also a message for the Church today. The world that one has more power will be the commander. But Jesus again declared he came to serve, not to be served.

When we have a secular desires, want more power, want to be served and not served, it will be very easily lead to bad things we say and exclude others. Jealousy and envy also makes people do so. All of us know this. It happens in all organizations of the Church: the parish, school, diocesan and even the bishops. The desire of the spirit is the spirit of the world's wealth, the fame and frivolous. Jesus taught humility in service, but the disciples arguing about who was the greatest of them. Jesus came to this earth to serve and he teaches us the way of serving, of humility.
So loved the world that hates God
When the great saint said they felt very guilty, it is because they understand the spirit world exists in their souls, and they are more tempted by that spirit. None of us can say: I am holy. I am clean.
All of us are tempted by the spirit world. We are tempted to exclude others to climb even the high value. It is the temptation of the world, divisive and destroy the Church, rather than the Spirit of Jesus. Let's imagine this scene: When Jesus said these words humbly serve, the disciples said: 'Well I, do not be asking too much. Let's go '. And then, he likes the quarrel with each other to see who was the greatest. Many times we have seen this happening in the Church and even we did so well. Let us beseech God to enlighten us, so that we understand that love the world, or love the spirit world, ie hate God. "

Ahhhh Small,

You are absolutely correct. He is an improvement over all the Roman Catholic demagogues posing as popes.

However, the church still has a long way to go and I don't see him making their bank better, which really puzzles me, because if he really believes in WWJD then he would get rid of the vatican, the lawyers, the bank and a whole lot of other things that Jesus never said was ok!!
