One of the big lessons I have learned from my journey is you can’t please everyone, so don’t try.
• 90% of our problems are caused by our own thoughts.
• Never put the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket.
• Just because a person smiles all the time, doesn’t mean their life is perfect. That smile is a symbol of Hope and Strength.

Nonsmoker, i don't agree :) i don't have time for negative people. i don't agree with the smile being a symbol of hope and strength either. sometimes, i think a smile is another way of hiding sadness. it's easier to smile than explain why there is no smile.

Maybe you don't harbor the idea of having enemies but can you be sure that others feel the same. dunno

As for the fact that a smile can hide something else, I agree wholeheartedly. Us humans are always hiding something, but as Freud once said.
“He that has eyes to see and ears to hear may convince himself that no mortal can keep a secret. If his lips are silent, he chatters with his fingertips; betrayal oozes out of him at every pore.”

I think it best to try find why people are hiding as opposed to what they are hiding.

Nonsmoker, i am aware of having an enemy or two. i prefer to keep far far away from such people. once i'm crossed, the bridge is burned to ashes.
