Some wards in our local hospital are now closed because of covid. In December I had shoulder surgery in the private ward due to this so it did have its advantages.Some are also closed due to Norovirus.I kept my Pfizer vaccines up with no issues as I'm in my eighties but after a Moderna vaccine which did affect me I declined as it made me quite ill.

i have had covid 3 times, and none of those times was it as hard on me as when i got the vax, that is my experience

Some barriers work better than others, a surgical mask, for example, is not designed to protect the wearer, but to protect those nearby.
Logic dictates that any barrier between an infected person and a non-infected person is better than no barrier whatsoever.
That is factually true, unlike the non factual myths made up by certain members of the public, who should know better.

jac, I don't know all the deals, but I believe there is a vetting process to do exactly what you are saying. They apparently turned their heads with Trump.It was no secret he was profiting from products manufactured in China and Mexico. Conflict of interest?
It was suggested Putin is banking on Trump getting into power so he can finish what he started in Ukraine. Not a far-off thought.

mine was moderna so that makes sense, and at the time i was having terrible heart pains they were denying vax injury,so they were not testing for it and doctors were just turning people away, at least after about 6 months the pains went away, but never again will i take that chance. i believe we should just let people make their own choices, i have no problem with people who want to take the vax and would never tell someone not to. wish other had been that kind to me
