I stopped opening mail from Irish chaps a long while ago because so many of them were really rather unpleasantly obscene.I've always assumed it's a function of s*xual repression and misogyny from a long history of Catholic oppression. It's like some men don't have the experience, or skills to know how to behave within a more sexually liberated framework.

Grands, Seems like your memory isn't showing any problems as of yet. It's been close to 9 years since i was really active i think, so I don't expect many to still remember me here, I just feel so gratefull towards CS that I just wanna come in and remind everyone that miracles can happen here. Sorry things didn't work out for you and your lady, finding some good friends however is also a thing to appreciate.
I know I've made some friends here that I'll never forget and since i don't wanna forget anyone I should just limit myself to mentioning the lengendary Simmo, I still miss that goof.

Some things are more expensive such as electricity and imported goods, but on average it is a lot cheaper here than in the UK.I bought my home here 10 years ago, so I only have to pay for food and utilities, I eat out most days as cheaper than buying and cooking at home.
I do miss certain food such as real cheese and real bacon, but I live a healthy diet plus living on a tropical island is paradise compared with anywhere in the UK.

Here in the Philippines they are scared that there will be a three day eclipse which is factually impossible, but then some are easily manipulated by conspiracy theories.

Well... Destruction will hit everybody, no matter their political preferences.I do doubt that Trumpistas have so much reflection on their deeds. I don't expect his supporters to be too intellectual a crowd. Then, I have a couple of FB friends from USA, who are totally decent people and anti-Trump. Plus, my Qigong teacher and Qigong group, whom I never will wish anything bad.
This day and age, you don't elect a person: you elect a direction and a team. Honestly, the team from the previous Trump election wasn't that bad (aside someone getting prison time on criminal charges). Now, we don't know who will run the show in case... but it will be the very same thing again: Trump will be uttering his nonsense while someone in the background gets the work done.
That's said, it doesn't mean that I want Trump to win. He's too loathable a figure to read news about him for the whole 4 years.

Then the low IQ-level individuals will feel the burden of war / inflation / destruction / cover bombing... on their backs. But they don't think in those constructions. The main matter with poverty and deprivation, that it is not capable of thinking a few steps beyond now. Populists use and misuse that. Poverty is their main supporter.
