Because I would not be comfortable seeing people blown up every single day. Moreover, I would not be comfortable thinking 'maybe I'm next', every time I blinked. Call me paranoid, but I need some level of external peace around me.

If people are looking for a long term relationship they normally want to meet someone in there own country, distance makes it difficult to really get to know someone, and moving is often just not practical

another very good point ,here where I live I think I am so lucky I never lock my doors and my truck has the keys in it all the time,my friends walk into my home and go the the fridge and eat as if it was thier home very low crime rate here really only DUI's and minor other offences,but the winters really suck,hey win some lose some Because I would not be comfortable seeing people blown up every single day. I would travel anywhere for the right man.
It is not the distance that is the decider for me; its the country's culture..
I would want to feel happy and be free to be myself, whatever country I was in.
