well rehearsed incomprehensible expressions
of spaced out drunkard’s bliss,
momentary illusory gratification

yesterdays fond memories fleetingly manifest-
vanish, into opaque mirrored mazes of
connections-breached , familiarity cast adrift,
entrails of trust snake , bob in between well placed
tiered innuendo into a relentless dazed mire
of dark machinated emotions

and tomorrow- lies, denials
culminate an ultimatum, of loves pallid remorse,
the staunch victor momentarily savors,
a bitter sweet grand finale a soured fabled gist ,

and the what of morrow
another sniff, taste, another touch of a
familiar well worn place faces stained
with shadows of kisses plied-
tears cascade, unrealized withdraw
into the lake of forgotten dreams
noooo ! enough! enough,
