Well i just sent my divorce papers off to the court and i was expecting some sort of emotion about it all but I am just numb. I am not really sure what to feel or even what I think about it. It just seems like a formality to me, I am not happy or sad or mad or anything, nothing, zip, zero, zilch. I am not typically emotional anyway but I am feeling a bit void of any emotion whatsoever. dunno help

well, you can only feel what you feel ralfie.....i suppose people say well maybe we're supposed to feel sad, or angry or some such nonsense....but if thats what you feel, no-one can deny your right to feel that waycheers

I would take that as a good thing. No sadness and pining over something that has ended.

Is there a divorce party in order? laugh

sxc666: Actually when I filed for divorce and when it came through. I felt a certain feeling of failure and found myself analysing what went wrong. I certainly did not feel proud in anyway. I remember it was an unusual feeling......

I hoped I've learnt from mistakes in the past and can take them into the future.

....Yep...I know that feeling very well.......sigh
A hug for you sxc666...hug hug

I remember when my divorce came thru ...I cried for hours ,I was sad ,I too felt like a failure ,I made light of it but seriously Ralf what your feeling is shock , we all go into marriage with the expectation that it will be forever the man or woman we love that day & that nothing will ever undermine it or come between it sadly tho reality is a lot different sometimes ... Its a shock to realize the finality of it all & the fact that we didnt make it that reconciliation is beyond reach,
life does go on love too if we are lucky enought o find it
