pretzelman: for years I used the handle..Shipoker, because it was a word used to demean and belittle me, by my father. I used it to remind me never to get soft and think about forgiving him. But CSers convinced me to drop the name and move on.

I've seen a lot of signs of healing in you over the past few months, and I've been glad to see them. You're a good man, and worthy of love and friendship...not the belittlement. I've seen healing and changes in you, too, Snuggs. Talking some of this stuff out on here helps to heal it...and helps you to see that others have been there, too, which makes one feel not so alone.
Every little bit of healing is a big step. Never forget that.

I have been abused verbally, mentally, emotional, physically and molested by touch only, thankfully not more than that.
But I did not pass that on to my children, I broke the chain in my family.
